Diving Back into Fitness Series: Involve the Family



One of the hardest part about fitness is finding the time and energy for it between family, work and other personal time commitments. Even in the pandemic (or especially in the pandemic) it's hard to find that you-time needed to get a good, fast workout in. Luckily, with creativity, there are ways to get this done and give you even better results than just working out at the gym by yourself.


One of the answer is to involve your family in getting active. Being off the couch is important for every member of the family. Finding activities that you can do as a family will not only get everyone active but also create much needed bonding time. Perhaps it will even start a new family tradition! The key to anything is consistency.

Some ideas can include going on walks after dinner, learning a new sport as a family, going on long weekend hikes, creating weekly family Olympics, and much much more! Sure it might be different from the kick-butt cardio you might get in the Delta Studio; however, it's better than not finding the time or ability to workout at all.

Additionally, with the new generation of kids growing up with access to more technology than ever, it's a great opportunity to expose them to outdoor fun and make it normal to seek enjoyment through riding bikes or playing ball.
