After more than two long months, states are starting to re-open after lockdown policies put in place in response to COVID-19. As gyms, parks, and other facilities start to become available again, it's an opportunity for us to spice up our fitness routine from quarantine at home workouts! If your quarantine routine ended up becoming a lack of a routine, this is a great time to get started again!
While this time is brimming with fresh starts, it's also important to note that COVID is still very much relevant and the U.S case loads are still increasing day by day. Proper precautions need to be taken and social distancing is still just as important in saving lives. This educational series is dedicated to help you stay active and healthy while staying low risk for infection.
To prevent infection, let's take a look at what increases your exposure. The virus spreads through aerosolized water droplets from coughing and sneezing. As you can imagine, it's can be hard to avoid the virus if it's in the air around people who are carriers or are infected by the virus. This was why social distancing was and still is important. The amount of risk depends on how close you are in contact with other people as well as how much time you spend in that environment. If both factors are increased so is your risk. Throughout this series, we will discuss how to mitigate both factors.
